This stunning Stumpwork piece is a Jane Nicholas design called “Snowdrops and Cranefly” and is beautifully stitched by Carolyn B from the Needleworkers group in the Hawkes Bay. The framing sets it off beautifully.
Innovative Mona Townson Warkworth Guild
This beaded flower is very elegant. Mona chose a palm frond which has a beautiful shape to nestle the ‘treasure’ inside which made an interesting comparison between something woman- made and nature.

This section was won by Diane H from Whanganui Guild. The magnolia is her own design inspired by a flower on a tree outside her house. The technique is tambour work on hand painted silk organza
